MINC Hits Miami!
We ended our season on a high, with a tournie in Miami! Luckily it was an indoor tournament, as the weather was in the 90s and extremely humid. Phew!
The tournament true to form started almost 3 hours late! It was a random draw with the Twisters in the more difficult draw, but we managed to pull off two awesome wins. The Hurricanes went on to win three games and lost one game by one point, which was unfortunate as a win would have got them to the playoffs. A special shout-out goes to alum Alyssa Kriplen who came to play with the Twisters, despite having given birth just 7 weeks before!!! Fantastic Lys! Marsh brought baby Eleanor along to meet us during the day, and she slept peacefully through the Caribbean music. What a cool baby and thank you so much Lys for helping us out.
The rest of the weekend was filled with the usual, dinner, cocktails, dancing, and then on Sunday we spent the day hanging by the Gansevoort Hotel pool taking in spa treatments and gossiping by the pool. What a treat it was. Thank you again to everyone who participated, including our loyal supporters, it was truly a wonderful, bonding weekend.
