Seems we've finally hit the big time! Our lives will never be the same again. We'll be unable to walk down the street without being mobbed by crazed fans!!
Netball recently featured in The Economist. Very good press for our beloved sport, read here for more on the interesting story out of India...
This short Time Out NYarticle ran the week before our tournament.
The New York Post wisely decided to run an article on sports in Manhattan and featured netball (and more importantly MINC) in the report. The article ran on Saturday June 26th and as soon as I scan it you'll be able to see it here!
The Australian Consulate has also realised just how newsworthy we are, and has published an article about us in their monthly newsletter. Thanks to Aussie Bec Smith for the "in" on that one! Click here for the article.
Click to read Liz Todd's netball article as published in the East side ''Our Town" paper and in the West Side Spirit.
Watch this spot on when you can order your spunky new MINC t'shirt. For additional MINC goodies, see the merchandise page for details, and gorgeous MINC items with which to impress your friends.
Start packing your MINC shirt when you travel for business or pleasure and snap away at some recognisable monument or location and send the resulting (digital) graphic to Marissa and she'll add it to the photo board of exotic places that the Straphanger has visited, courtesy of our chests! Check out the story so far by clicking here.

Journalist Student finds MINC
Recently we were approached by Dan Macht who is a student studying journalism at the City University, New York's Graduate School of Journalism. He tells a good story of why we continue to play this game so far away from our homes and why we have Netball passion! Dan spent a couple of evenings at our training sessions and then followed us to our first NYC tournament of the season. Read here for more on "our" story... Thanks to Dan for taking an interest.
We ended our season on a high, with a tournie in Miami! Luckily it was an indoor tournament, as the weather was in the 90s and extremely humid. Phew! more...
We had another fantastic year in the Connecticut Tournament, our own Lisa Brady won MVP of the day! Well done, Lisa!

Friday after-work drinks at The Australian
We took the opportunity to kick back together on October 2 and have a few drinks at The Australian. The Australian in midtown (another great Aussie bar) has been really good to our club, even through some tough economic times, so we were pleased to return the favour. All three MINC squads turned out in force, together with a good crowd of partners and friends. We were also able to give our coach Rebecca and her new hubby Dave, their wedding present from the MINC ladies :)
