We suggest that players check in with their captains to see who may have wheels. Public transport is possible but less convenient. Teaming up a few players and sharing the cost of a rental car may be the way to go.

TEAM WHITE Match Report By
Fleur & Elissa
Any tournament day that starts out with girls huddling under umbrellas to protect themselves from the pelting rain and a last-minute run through to make sure everyone on the team knows each other’s names is always going to have its challenges but with very positive attitudes, MINC Team White took to the court and had a wonderful day! First game up we drew the other MINC team in the pool so we knew we were up for some rough & tumble (only kidding!) With instructions from Coaches Christine & Tess not to injure any of the MINC Team Black team members, we contested hard in a close game and made them work hard for the win or draw as we saw it…
Our first game against one of the other competitve teams was pretty tough (mind and body) although we did manage to push them around a bit and even got a big "oooooohhhhh!" from the crowd when the referee missed a little (ok, BIG) push from Fleur who then scored a long shot. Games three and four merged into each other in a flurry of intercepts, lost balls, little injuries and missed shots (enough said). BUT in the fifth and final game, our trusty captain Andrea came back to lead us to a win over Crusaders-2. With the American branch of Jessica's family and other MINC teams on the sideline cheering hard, Emma and Jess clicked on defence allowing Jo, Cheryl and Elissa to get some excellent movement through the mid court. Andrea and Fleur did a spectacular job in goal, ensuring that all the hard work in defence and center court was converted into goals on the scoreboard. You'd think we'd just won the championship but, for our first time playing together as a team, one win was just as exciting!
Sharing stories and sunburns over a few drinks later that evening, it was clear that everyone was exhausted but happy. Yay MINC!
